How to change Epson Stylus Photo 820 ink cartridges on printer?

  1. Turn the printer on. Make sure it has a steady green light on the power button.
  2. Open the printer lid and press the droplet ink button. Wait until the carriage move to the center.
  3. You have to replace the black cartridge if the red light flashes in unison with the green power light. If the red light flashes faster than the green power light, the color cartridge needs to be replaced. If both light are on, and does not flash, replace both cartridges.
  4. Raise the cartridge clamp and pull the used cartridge from its holder.
