How to change Epson R1900 ink cartridges on printer?
- Remove all paper and other media from the printer and the CD/DVD tray is not inside the printer.
- Lift the printer lid to access the used ink cartridges.
- Press the droplet icon. The ink carriage will move and will stop once it's ready for ink replacement.
- Lift the cartridge cover.
- To release the ink cartridge, just gently press the tab at the end of the cartridge to unlock it. Then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompandSave Epson R2880 ink cartridges and gently shake it sideways for about 4-5 times.
- Unpack the cartridge in a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks. Sometime, factories tend to overfill cartridges. Then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson Stylus Photo R1900 ink cartridge on the appropriate slot for its color, you should hear a click indicating that it is locked in place.
- Close the printer lid and press Start button to start the ink charging process. Let this process finish on it’s own.
- You can now load plain paper and run the print test.

1st off i have to ...Review for Remanufactured Epson 87 T087220 (T0872) Cyan Ink Cartridge for Stylus Photo R19001st off i have to say my ink arrived in 2 days amazing, as for ink the cartridges worked great in my r1900 the chip was recognized as genuine epson chip, the cartridge its self was boxed and sealed professionally similar to a oem cart, 2 things i noticed one being that if my paper had a listed edge it caused my print head to leak from the cyan ports only, nothing that caused a problem there second a probably the one bad thing that might make me have to look elsewhere is that the cyan was actually blue so i had to make some adjustments to what i was printing, but the ink was still just as good just as glossy as oem just a different color thats all. I also bought some genuine oem direct from epson just incase these didnt work but epson took over 2 weeks to get them to me i wont be doing that again.Was this review helpful?
