Epson WorkForce 610 Ink Cartridges Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on. If you are replacing the ink cartridge before it runs out, just press the "Home" button, then "Setup", followed by "Maintenance" and lastly select "Ink Cartridge Replacement" then press "OK".
- Lift the scanned lid of the printer to access the ink cartridges. Make sure that the Auto Document Feeder is not open before lifting the scanner lid.
- Open the ink cartridge cover to reveal the ink cartridges. Gently press the tab at the end of the cartridge to unlock it, then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Epson WorkForce 610 printer ink cartridge, shake it for about four to six times before opening from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson WorkForce 610 cartridge to its respective slot, gently push it down until it snaps lock into place.
- Close the scanner lid, then press "OK" to start the ink charging process. Let this process finish to avoid wasting ink.
Epson WorkForce 610 Ink Cartridges FAQs
What ink does Epson WorkForce 610 use?
The Epson WorkForce printer uses the Epson 69 ink cartridge which comes in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. This printer is also compatible with the Epson 97 ink cartridge, which is the extra high-capacity version of the black ink cartridge. CompAndSave offers discounted remanufactured stasndard Epson 69 and extra high-capacity Epson 97 ink cartridges that are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and number of prints without paying as much compared to the original Epson ink. Aside from this, using generic ink will never void the printer's warranty, so you can shop and use our ink worry-free.
How do I get my Epson printer to recognize my ink cartridges?
There are many reasons why your printer fails to recognize the ink cartridges. It could be a bad cartridge chip that may cause the ink cartridges to not be recognized or an ink spilled that may block the copper contacts. To fix this issue, power down your machine and disconnect the power cord and other cables. Remove the ink cartridge from the printer, then wipe the copper part of the cartridge with a damp non-abrasive towel or cloth. Install the cartridge back into the machine and turn it off for 15 minutes. For more troubleshooting steps, click our troubleshooting tips and you will be redirected to the right page.
Are all Epson cartridges the same?
The short answer is no. Epson ink cartridges have different sizes, compatibility, color, and page yield depending on how they were manufactured and depending on their compatible printers. To know what type of ink your printer is using, you may check the manual that came with it or check the existing ink cartridge that you're using on your printer. It usually has a label or sticker with the model number of the ink cartridge intended for your printer.
