Review for Replacement HP 96 Ink Cartridge - Black - C8767WNItems shipped within a couple of days and got to east coast quick. Installed immediately, it worked and still going strong. Got (4) cartridges for the cost of (1) HP. And since I bought (4) shipping was free. Wanted to buy American but I can't just throw money away. HP must think extortion is OK. While these cartridges worked right ...Review for Replacement HP 96 Ink Cartridge - Black - C8767WNWhile these cartridges worked right away in my HP Deskjet 5940 printer ("Old Reliable" - it has taken a number of lickings and kept on ticking), they do not last long. The first one only lasted about 4 months and the second one lasted less than that. The ones from HP lasted me about a year and a half. I can remove and shake this cartridge and get a few more pages out of it but you shouldn't have to do that. HP doesn't make these cartridges anymore so it looks like I will have to get a new printer just because cartridges for this one are unavailable. I'm old school - if I buy something, I expect to use it until it falls apart.Was this review helpful?
