How do I change the ink cartridge in my Epson Stylus Pro 7800?

  1. To open the ink container, press the cover.
  2. Raise the ink lever till it is unlocked.
  3. Remove the printer's empty ink cartridge.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave Epson Pro 7800 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Hold the cartridge with the arrow facing the printer. After that, place the new ink for the Epson 7800 into the slot.
  6. Reset the ink lever to its original position.
  7. Close the ink compartment cover.

Can I use my Epson printer with only black ink?
By default, most Epson printer models stop printing when an ink cartridge runs out. You may temporarily print with just black, but remember it is recommended to always replace any empty ink cartridges to avoid printer issues. To temporarily print with only black, stop and cancel any pending print job through the Epson printer program. Next, access Printer Settings, then go to the main tab and then select Quality Option followed by selecting Plain Papers or Envelope for the type setting. After this, put a check in Grayscale option and press OK.
How many times you can refill an ink cartridge?
You can have your ink cartridges refilled up to three times. However, it is not recommended since it can cause printing issues such as smudges, uneven and poor print quality.
