How to change Brother DCP-L5500DN toner cartridges on printer?
- Turn the printer on.
- Lower the front cover to open.
- Pull out the toner cartridge and the drum unit using its handle.
- Pull the toner cartridge out of the drum unit by pressing the green lock lever.
- Get your new CompAndSave Brother 5500DN toner. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the toner Brother L5500DN into the drum unit until it clicks into place.
- Slide the green tab sideways multiple times. This will clean the wire within the drum unit.
- Install your toner Brother L5500DN to its respective slot. Push it in until it clicks into place.
- Raise the machine's front cover to close.
