How to Install Canon 045 High Capacity Cartridge Set?
- Open the printer's front cover.
- Carefully pull and release the toner cartridge tray.
- Pull the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Canon 045H set toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or a garbage can to avoid any mess in case of a powder leak, as sometimes factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge sideways for about 5 to 6 times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new toner cartridge to its respective slot and put the toner cartridge tray back into place.
- Close the printer's front cover.
Canon 045 High Capacity Cartridge Set FAQ
- What is the difference between 045 and 045H?
- In terms of size and printer compatibility, Canon 045 and Canon 045H are practically the same. The only difference is standard yield Canon 045 can only print up to 1,400 pages for the black and up to 1,300 pages for cyan, magenta, and yellow. High yield Canon 045H, on the other hand, can print up to 2,800 pages for the black and up to 2,200 pages for cyan, magenta, and yellow.
- Is it worth it to buy a high yield toner?
- Totally! They work the same as the standard Canon toners but can print more pages. With that being said, you don't have to purchase and install a new ink as often as you do if you are using the standard toner. You can also save money from purchasing an XL or high yield toner cartridge, as the cost of printing per page is definitely way less than the cost per page when using a standard toner. All in all, buying a Canon high yield toner is definitely worth it.
