How do I install Canon MF8050cn toner cartridges on my printer?

  1. Open the front cover, then pull out the toner cartridge tray by pressing the lever.
  2. Remove the used toner cartridge by grasping the handles and pulling it out of the machine.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Canon imageClass MF8050cn toner. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Gently shake the toner cartridge up to 6 times to evenly distribute the toner inside.
  5. Insert the Canon Canon MF8050cn cartridge inside the machine until it locks into place.
  6. Once the toner is installed, close the front cover.

Canon MF8050cn Toner Cartridge FAQs

Can Canon laser toner cartridges be refilled?
Yes, Canon toner cartridges are refillable. Before you decide to do so, bear in mind the following pros and cons. The major advantage of refilling is cost-efficiency. It is a cheaper option rather than purchasing a new genuine one. As for the cons, you may need to replace some toner parts when refilling as refilled toner cartridges can have print quality and durability issues since the parts can wear out over time. It can cause noise when printing, low-quality printouts, and leakage inside the printer. You also need to consider the imaging drum. Like the toner cartridge, its parts can wear out over time. We highly encourage you to have it refilled through stores that offer refilling services instead. If you choose to purchase a new one, CompAndSave provides a wide variety of cheap printer toner cartridges at a much lesser price without compromising their quality. Our toners are manufactured to meet or exceed the OEM specifications, which will save you from all the trouble of going through the process of refilling a toner cartridge. To know more about the parts of a toner cartridge and how it works, read our guide on ”What ink does my printer use?”.
Why is toner so expensive?
OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that generic cartridges exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. You can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer. For additional information, please visit the Ink Knowledge Base.
