How to change Epson XP-434 ink cartridges on printer?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on. If you are replacing the ink cartridge before it runs out, just push the "Home" button, then "Setup", followed by "Maintenance", then select "Ink Cartridge Replacement" and lastly press the "OK" button.
- To access the ink cartridges, just gently raise the scanner lid and avoid touching the white cables inside the printer.
- To release the ink cartridges, just gently push the plastic tab at the end of the ink cartridge then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Epson XP-434 ink cartridge, shake it for about four to six times before opening from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson XP-434 ink cartridge to its respective slot, you should hear a snap indicating that its locked in place.
- Close the scanner lid, then press the "Start" button on the printer.
- The printer will automatically go through the ink charging process, do not turn off the printer and let this process run until its done to avoid wasting ink.
