How to change Epson XP-830 ink cartridges on printer?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on and that the CD/DVD tray is not inserted into the printer.
- If an ink cartridge or cartridges are empty, you will see a message on the printer which cartridge or cartridges are needed to be replaced. If you are changing ink before it runs out, then on the printer control panel just go to 'Setup', then 'Maintenance', followed by 'Ink cartridge replacement', then 'Proceed', and lastly press the 'Start' button. Then lift the scanner lid of the printer.
- Avoid moving the printhead manually or by hand as it may damage the printer.
- To release the ink cartridge just gently push the blue tab then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Epson XP-830 ink cartridge, open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson XP-830 ink cartridge to its respective slot. You should hear a snap indicating that it's locked in place.
- Close the scanner lid then press the 'Start' button. Keep the printer turned on to complete its charging process and to avoid wasting ink.
