How to change Epson Stylus Photo 2100 ink cartridges on printer?

  1. Turn the printer on.
  2. Open the output tray then raise the printer cover and the cartridge access door.
  3. Press the droplet ink button to let the print head move and settle for cartridge replacement.
  4. Gently squeeze the cartridge to release it from the holder. Then pull it out from the printer.
  5. Get your new CompAndSave Epson Stylus Photo 2100 ink cartridge. Shake the cartridges for about 4-5 times to evenly distribute the ink inside. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak as sometimes, factories tend to overfill cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the cartridge, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  6. Hold the cartridge in an angle and slide it to the cartridge holder. Push it down until it clicks in place.
  7. Close the cartridge access door after replacing the cartridge.
  8. Lower the printer cover to close.
  9. Press the droplet ink button to start the ink charging process. Let this process finish on it’s own. When it’s done, you can now load plain paper and run the print test.
