How to Install Epson RX600 Ink Cartridges?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on.
- If you are replacing an empty ink cartridge, just refer to the printer's screen on which cartridge is empty and then press 'OK. If you are replacing a low ink just go to the printer's 'Setup', then select 'Ink Cartridge', then press 'OK'. Check the printer's message and then presss 'OK ' again.
- The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move to the replacement position, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
- Check that the scanner lid is closed and then lift the whole scanner assembly. Open the ink cartridge lid, press the tab at the end of the cartridge that needs to be replaced, then carefully remove the ink cartridge out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Epson Stylus Photo RX600 ink cartridge, open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new ink cartridge to its respective slot, push it in until it snaps lock into place.
- Close the ink cartridge lid and put the scanner assembly back into place. Press 'OK to start the ink charing process, let this run until it's done to avoid wasting ink.

- What ink is compatible with Epson?
- Epson printers uses different model numbers of cartridges depending on their features and functions. To know the model number of the cartridge your Epson printer is using, you may check the user's manual that came with your printer. You may also check the existing cartridge that is installed in your printer. In front or on the side is a label or sticker with the model number, which is usually consisted of alphanumeric characters. For example, the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 printer uses the ink cartridge that has the model code of Epson 48 - T048 ink cartridges.
- Will my Epson printer work with just black ink?
- By default, most Epson printer models stops printing when a color ink cartridge runs out. You may temporarily print with just black, but remember it is recommended to always replace any empty ink cartridges to avoid printer issues. To temporarily print with only black, stop and cancel any pending print job through the Epson printer program. Next is, to access "Printer Settings". Go to main tab and then select "Quality Option", followed by selecting "Plain Papers" or "Envelope" for the type setting. After this put a check in "Grayscale" option and press "OK".
