How to change Epson Stylus CX4200 ink cartridges on printer?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on and the output tray is closed.
- Raise the scanner cover.
- Press the droplet ink button. Both power and droplet ink button will light up and flash.
- To release the ink cartridge, just gently press the tab at the end of the cartridge to unlock it. Then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Epson Stylus CX4200 ink cartridges and gently shake it sideways for about 4-5 times.
- Unpack the Epson CX4200 ink in a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks. Sometime, factories tend to overfill cartridges. Then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the cartridge to its respective slot, you should hear a snap indicating that it’s locked in place.
- Lower the cartridge cover until it snaps in place.
- Close the scanner lid.
- Press the droplet ink button to start the ink charging process. Let this process finish to avoid wasting ink.

- Is it better to buy XL cartridges?
- Buying XL cartridges are preferred as they work the same as standard cartridges but can print more pages. With that being said, you don't have to purchase and install a new ink as often as you do if you are using the standard ink. Although it's a bit pricier, buying an XL ink cartridge will be cheaper in the long run, as the cost of printing per page with an XL ink is definitely way less than the cost per page of of using a standard ink.
