How to Install Epson CX8400 Ink Cartridges?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on.
- If you are replacing an ink cartridge before the message on the LCD screen appears. Just press 'Setup', then 'Maintenance' and press 'OK'. Next is go to 'Change Ink Cartridge' and press 'OK'.
- Raise the scanner assembly and open the ink access cover.
- Press the tab at the end of the cartridge that needs to be replaced, then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Epson Stylus CX8400 ink cartridge. Shake the ink cartridge for about four to five times before opening it from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new ink cartridge to its respective slot until it snaps lock into place.
- Close the scanner assembly and press 'OK' to start the ink charging process. Let this run until it's done to avoid wasting ink.
Epson CX8400 Ink Cartridges FAQs
- Will my Epson printer work with just black ink?
- By default, most Epson printer models stop printing when a color ink cartridge runs out. You may temporarily print with just black, but remember it is recommended to always replace any empty ink cartridges to avoid printer issues. To temporarily print with only black, stop and cancel any pending print job through the Epson printer program. Next is to access "Printer Settings". Go to the main tab and then select "Quality Option", followed by selecting "Plain Papers" or "Envelope" for the type setting. After this put a check in "Grayscale" option and press "OK".
- Can I use generic ink in Epson printer?
