HP 218X Cartridges Replacement Guide
- Open the printer's front door.
- Grab the handle of the toner cartridge's drawer and carefully pull it out. Then remove the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced out of the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP 218X printer cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of a powder leak, as sometimes factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place. Push the toner cartridge drawer back in place.
- Close the printer's front door.
HP 218X Cartridges FAQs
Is it OK to use compatible toner cartridges?
Yes, compatible, replacement or remanufactured toner cartridges are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and number of prints without paying as much compared to the original toner cartridges. Our compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are also covered with 1-year 100% satisfaction guarantee, and using these types of toner cartridges will not void your printer's warranty. Is toner cheaper than ink?
Yes, toner cartridges are cheaper compared to regular ink cartridges in the long run. Laser printers that use toner cartridges are designed for office use which requires a lot of printing. Inkjet printers on the other hand are mostly for home or small office use. Typically a toner can print from 1,000 to 30,000 pages while ink cartridges can print up to 100 to 3,000 pages depending on their make and model. With that being said, the cost-per-page of a toner cartridge is much cheaper compared to regular ink cartridges, making it a better option, especially if you print a lot daily.
