How to install HP 564 ink cartridges XL?
- Make sure and check that the printer is turned on.
- Open the printer’s ink access door.
- The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
- Gently press the tab at the end of the cartridge to release it then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP 564 cartridges XL, open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the HP printer cartridge 564 XL to its respective slot, gently push it in until it snaps lock into place.
- Close the printer’s ink access door.

- Is HP 64 ink the same as 564 ink?
- No, it’s not. The HP 64 ink cartridge has a different size and printer compatibility as compared to HP 564/564XL ink cartridges. If your printer uses HP 564 or 564XL ink cartridges, HP 64 ink will not fit and vice versa. Aside from this, HP 64 has two variations of ink which is black and tri-color cartridge, while HP 564/564XL ink cartridge has 5, which are black, cyan, magenta, photo black, and yellow.
- What is the difference between ink 564 and 564XL?
- When it comes to size and printer compatibility, the standard yield HP 564 is practically the same as the high yield HP 564XL ink cartridges. The only difference is HP 564XL can print more pages compared to the standard yield HP 564 ink cartridge. HP 564 ink cartridges can print up to 250 pages for black and 300 pages for cyan, magenta, and yellow. HP 564XL, on the other hand, can print up to 550 pages for the black and 750 pages for cyan, magenta, and yellow. This would mean that high yield or XL cartridges are the better options as it will lessen the time in replacing or installing a new cartridge, and it has a cheaper cost per page compared to the standard yield.
