How do I install HP DesignJet 1050c Plus Ink on my printer?

  1. Turn on your printer.
  2. The front panel must display the message "Remove the ink cartridge by pushing it in and up" or "Replace ink cartridge".
  3. Remove the empty ink cartridge by pushing it upward and inward, then pull.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave HP DesignJet 1050c Plus printer ink. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color along with the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Insert the new ink cartridge into the slot and press firmly until it locks in.
  6. The front panel must display "HP No. (80) Ink cartridges successfully installed".
  7. Press the ENTER key to finish the ink replacement.

HP DesignJet 1050c Plus Ink FAQs

What ink cartridge does HP DesignJet 1050c Plus use?
The HP DesignJet 1050c Plus uses HP 80 ink cartridges in black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. CompAndSave offers replacement standard HP 80 ink cartridges in all color variants. Get high-quality printer ink that’s budget-friendly. To know more about remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges, check our Ink Knowledge Base.
Why are ink cartridges so expensive?
OEM ink manufacturers claim that the high cost of ink cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink. However, it is worth noting that generic cartridges exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. You can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement ink cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer. For additional information, please visit the Ink Knowledge Base.
