How to Install Xerox Phaser 5500N Toner Cartridges?

  1. Open the printer's front door.
  2. Unlock the toner cartridge by pulling the release handle, then carefully pull the toner cartridge out from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Xerox 5500N toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge ten times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge into the slot until it is firmly seated in place.
  5. Close the printer's front door.
