How to change HP DesignJet Z5200 ink cartridges on printer?

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on. On the printer's on-screen display select the "Ink Menu" then press "Ok", followed by the option "Replace Ink Cartridges".
  2. Gently open the ink cartridge cover, then pull the ink cartridge straight up from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave's HP DesignJet Z5200 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Shake the ink cartridge for about ten to fifteen times.
  5. Insert the HP Z5200 ink cartridge to its respective slot, you should hear a click indicating that it is locked in place.
  6. Close the ink cartridge cover then try to print a test page.
