Brother P-Touch D200 Tape FAQs

Is Brother TZ tape the same as TZe tape?

Most label makers are both compatible with TZ and TZe tapes; make sure to check the logo on your label maker to see if it only uses TZe tapes. When it comes to differences, TZe tapes use less plastic compared to TZ tapes, which makes TZe tapes more environmentally friendly.

Do all P-Touch label makers use the same tape?

The short answer is no. So, make sure to check the manual that came with your label maker and check for the compatible tape for it. You may also check the previous or the last cassette you used for your label maker. Somewhere in front or the side should be the model number, which usually consists of alphanumeric characters. Brother TZe-211 and TZe-221 are some examples of these model numbers.

Why are tape cartridges so expensive?

OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say, you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer.
