How to change Canon MP560 ink cartridges on printer?

  1. Raise the scanner. This will automatically move the ink cartridge carrier ready for cartridge installation. Avoid touching the print head holder to move it forcibly. Wait until the print head holder stops completely.
  2. Pinch the tab on the ink that needs replacement and pull it up.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave's Canon Pixma MP560 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges.
  4. Remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it. Make sure that you only touch the black plastic part.
  5. You will know that the ink cartridges are correctly mounted when the ink tank LEDs are lit red.
  6. Close the scanner.
