Canon TS6020 Ink Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on, then lift the scanner.
- The ink cartridge carrier will move and settle for the cartridge replacement position. Do not move or stop the print holder by touching it or forcing it to move. Allow it to settle without interruption.
- Press the cartridge tab and lift the ink cartridge off the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Canon PIXMA TS6020 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only. Then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Install your Canon TS-6020 ink cartridge into its respective slot. Insert the ink cartridge at an angle, head first. Push it in until it clicks into place.
- Lower the scanner lid to close.

What ink does Canon TS6020 use?
The Canon TS6020 uses PGI-270 for pigment black and CLI-271 for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink cartridges. It is also compatible with the high-yield ink cartridges PGI-270XL and CLI-271XL, which also come in the same color variation. These high-yield ink cartridges contain more ink and can print more pages compared to the standard version. Can I use my Canon printer with only black ink?
Canon printer requires both black and color cartridges installed in the machine for it to work. However, if you need to use only black ink temporarily, you may change your printer options. To do this, launch the Printer Driver Set up window on your PC. Click on the Page Set Up tab, then choose Print Options. A new window will appear where you have to choose Black Only at the Print With selection. These steps may or may not work depending on your printer model. Remember that using black only option allows you to print just temporarily, as it might cause issues with the printer. To avoid any printing issues, we highly suggest you replace any empty ink cartridges.
