Epson XP-6000 Ink Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on. If an ink cartridge or cartridges are empty, you will see a message on the printer about which cartridge or cartridges are needed to be replaced. If you are changing ink before it runs out, then on the printer control panel, just go to 'Maintenance,' then 'Ink Cartridge Replacement,' followed by 'Next,' and lastly choose 'Start.'
- To access the ink cartridges, just lift the scanner lid of the printer and wait for the printhead to move to the replacement position.
- Gently push the plastic tab at the end of the ink cartridge to release it, then pull it out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Epson 6000 ink cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new printer ink for Epson XP-6000 into its respective slot. You should hear a snap indicating that it's locked in place.
- Close the scanner lid then press 'Completed' on the printer control panel.
Epson XP-6000 Ink Cartridges FAQs
What ink does the Epson 6000 take?
The Epson Expression Premium XP-6000 printer uses the standard-capacity Epson 302 and the high-capacity Epson 302XL black, cyan, magenta, and yellow ink cartridges. CompAndSave offers remanufactured Epson ink cartridges that can match and provide the same quality as the OEM but at a much more affordable price.
Is it OK to use generic ink in Epson printer?
Absolutely! CompAndSave's generic, compatible, replacement, or remanufactured ink cartridges are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and the number of prints without paying as much compared to original Epson ink cartridges. Aside from this, using generic ink cartridges will never void the printer's warranty. So you can shop and use our ink cartridges without any worry. For more information about our cartridges, click ink knowledge base, and you will be redirected to the right page.
Why is Epson printer ink so expensive?
OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say, you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer. Cost per page is too highReview for Remanufactured Epson 302 Ink Cartridge XL - T302XL020 Black - High YieldThe ink itself is fine, it just doesn't' last very long. This is a function of the printer, not CompAndSave's ink. The cartridge that came with the printer was the same. It seems with the size and cost of this cartridge it should print many more pages than it does. This is certainly more cost effective than getting it from Epson. I have an old Epson Artisan 50 with much smaller, less expensive cartridges that last much longer. Was this review helpful?
