How to change Epson 9600 ink cartridges on printer?
- Make sure that the printer is turned on. Then open ink cartridge access door in front of the printer.
- To release the ink cartridge, just lift the ink lever to unhook or unlock position. Carefully pull the cartridge that needs to be replaced out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Epson 9600 ink cartridge, shake it for about four to six times before opening from the package. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson 9600 ink cartridge to its respective slot, then put the ink lever back into place and close the ink cartridge access door.
Most Common Epson 9600 Ink Cartridges Questions
- Do all Epson printers use the same ink cartridges?
- Epson has a variety of different printer models that offers different functions and features. Therefore, this printer models do not use the same ink cartridges. Ink cartridges that are designed for Epson Stylus Pro 9600 for example will not work for an Epson Expression XP-434 printer and vice versa. To know what type of ink your printer is using, you can check the printer's manual or check the label in front of the existing ink cartridge on your printer. Look for the model code which is usually a set of numbers or a combination of alphanumeric characters.
- Why does my Epson printer keep saying its out of ink?
- There are several reasons why your printer keeps saying it's out of ink even though you just installed a new one. Possible reasons are either a bad chip or cartridge is not installed or secured properly on the ink slot. To troubleshoot this, you can unplug the power cord and other cables of your printer then plug it back in, turn it on, and reload the cartridges after 15 minutes.
