Epson WorkForce 3640 Ink Replacement Guide
- Make sure that the printer is turned on. If an ink cartridge or cartridges are empty, you will see a message on the printer about which cartridge or cartridges are needed to be replaced. If you change ink before it runs out, then on the printer control panel, go to 'Setup,' then 'Maintenance,' followed by 'Ink cartridge replacement.'
- To access the ink cartridges, lift the scanner lid of the printer, then open the ink cartridge access cover.
- Gently push the plastic tab at the end of the ink cartridge to release it, then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave's Epson WF-3640 ink cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case it leaks, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color and the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the Epson WF-3640 ink cartridge into its respective slot. You should hear a snap indicating that it's locked in place.
- Close the scanner lid of the printer. Keep the printer turned on to complete the priming process and avoid wasting ink.
