HP Color LaserJet MFP M480 Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide
- Open the printer's front cover by pressing the door release button on the left side of the printer.
- Grab the toner cartridge's tray handle, then carefully pull it out. Grab the toner that needs to be replaced and pull it out of the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP M480f toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Gently shake the toner cartridge and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color, as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Install the new HP M480f toner cartridge into its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place.
- Push the toner cartridge drawer back into place and close the printer's front cover.
HP Color LaserJet MFP M480 Toner Cartridges FAQs
Do all HP printers use the same toner?
The short answer is no. HP toner cartridges have different sizes, fittings, and printer compatibility. To know the toner cartridge for your printer, you may check the printer's manual or check the last or existing cartridge installed in your printer and look for the toner cartridge model. For example, the HP Color LaserJet MFP M480f printer uses the HP 414A and HP 414X toner cartridges. For further help, you may also check our find my toner guide, and you will be redirected to the right page.
Is it OK to use compatible toner cartridges?
Absolutely! CompAndSave's generic, compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are not only manufactured for consumers to save money but also they are designed to match the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and the number of prints without paying as much compared to the original ones. Using these types of cartridges will not void your printer's warranty, so you can shop and use them without any worries.
Why are HP cartridges so expensive?
OEM ink and toner manufacturers claim that the high cost of toner cartridges is due to the research and development of technologies to deliver high-quality ink and toner. However, it is worth noting that there are generic cartridges that exceed OEM requirements while being less expensive than their counterparts. CompAndSave's compatible and replacement ink and toner cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed OEM standards. That is to say, you can have the same print quality and page output without spending a fortune. Please keep in mind that using generic, remanufactured, or replacement cartridges will never void the warranty on your printer.
