HP LaserJet Pro M404n Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide
- To access the toner cartridges, just simply open the front door by pressing the release button of the printer.
- Carefully remove the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced out from the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave HP M404n toner cartridge, and open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the toner cartridges. Avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Lightly shake the toner cartridge sideways for about 5 to 6 times.
- Insert the HP LaserJet Pro M404n cartridge into the toner slot and make sure to align it properly to the printer.
- Close the toner access cover.

I showed the test pages to my wife; her comment was "Good enough". I'm not sure I can fully recommend this thing, but it sure is cheaper than a genuine cartridge.
