HP Smart Tank 6001 Ink Replacement Guide
- Open the front ink tank cover.
- Open the cap of the color tank to refill.
- Unseal and open the new CompAndSave HP Smart Tank 6001 ink bottle.
- Place the bottle upside down on the tank nozzle (do not squeeze).
- If the ink stops, reinsert the bottle until full.
- Remove and recap the bottle; store leftover ink.
- Close the tank cap and front cover.
- Wait about 30 seconds for printer calibration.

Does Smart Tank ink dry out?
