Kyocera ECOSYS P7240cdn Toner Cartridge Replacement Guide

  1. Open the printer's top cover by pressing the door release switch.
  2. Turn the lock lever of the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced to unlock position. Then carefully pull the toner cartridge out from the printer.
  3. Get your new CompAndSave Kyocera P7240cdn toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge five to six times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  4. Insert the new toner cartridge into its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place. Then turn the lock lever back to the locked position.
  5. Close the printer's top cover.

Kyocera ECOSYS P7240cdn Toner Cartridges FAQs

Can you refill Kyocera toner cartridge?

Yes, you can refill genuine Kyocera toner cartridges; however, it is not recommended since you have to replace some parts of the toner as well. If you think of refilling an empty toner cartridge, please bear in mind the following pros and cons. The major advantage of refilling is cost-efficiency. It'll be a way cheaper option rather than purchasing a new genuine one. On the other hand, refilled toner cartridges can have issues with the print quality and durability. Toner consists of different parts such as rolling gears, cleaning blades and etc. These parts wear out over time which can cause noise when printing, low-quality printouts, and even leakage inside the printer. Another thing to look into is the imaging drum; these hold the image before the toner powder is applied to the paper. Just like the toner, parts of the imaging drum also wear and tear over time.

To sum it all up, we highly encourage you to have it refilled through stores that offer refilling services instead. If you choose to purchase a new one, we at CompAndSave offer a wide variety of cheap printer toner cartridges at a much lesser price without compromising its quality. Our toners are manufactured to meet or exceed the OEM specifications, which will save you from all the trouble of going through the process of refilling a toner cartridge.

How do you know if your toner cartridge is empty?
Most of the time, a message on your printer's control panel will appear, letting you know that the toner cartridge is about to be empty or already empty. Another indication is when you are no longer getting a solid or good print quality. You will notice uneven or smears on the printout. When this happens, you may order your new toner cartridge at CompAndSave. Our toner cartridges are designed to match the print quality and number of printouts of the original Kyocera toner cartridges but at a very affordable price.
Does toner last longer than ink?
In terms of longevity, toner cartridges are designed to last longer than regular ink. Since toners are designed for laser printers they can produce more images and prints compared to inkjet types of printers. Usually, toner also has a longer shelf life than regular ink since they are powder based and do not dry out.
