How to change HP DeskJet F4180 ink replacement cartridge on printer?

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on and load a stack of plain white paper in the paper tray.
  2. Open the ink cartridge access door in front of the printer.
  3. The ink cartridge's carriage will automatically move, so make sure to wait for it to completely stop moving before you proceed.
  4. Gently push the cartridge down to release it then pull the cartridge out from the printer.
  5. Get your new CompAndSave HP F4180 ink cartridge. Open it over a sink or garbage can to avoid any mess in case it leaks as sometimes, factories tend to overfill the ink cartridges. Make sure to touch the black plastic part only, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
  6. Insert the HP DeskJet F4180 ink cartridge to its respective slot. Carefully push it in until it clicks into place.
  7. Close the ink cartridge access door and let the printer run the alignment test page.

What ink does HP DeskJet F4180 use?
HP DeskJet F4180 printer uses the HP 21 ink cartridge for the black and HP 22 ink cartridge for the tri-color. This printer is also compatible with the high yield HP 54 ink cartridge for the black, HP 57 for the tri-color, and the optional ink cartridge, which is HP 58 photo ink cartridge. Why does my HP DeskJet printer print blank pages?
There are several reasons why your printer would print a blank page. The most common is low or empty ink, so make sure that your ink cartridge has sufficient amount of ink for printing. Next possible reason is a clogged cartridge nozzle. To resolve this, just remove the ink cartridges from the printer, then wipe the cartridge nozzle with a non-abrasive towel or cloth damped with water or alcohol.     unfortunately, the tri-color inkjet cartridge does not show the red color as a vivid red, it comes in as a faint light yellow/pink color. The other color spectrums are good.
