  4. Get your new CompAndSave HP M180 toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.

HP Color LaserJet Pro M180 Toner Cartridge FAQs

Does using compatible toner void warranty?

Using compatible, replacement or remanufactured cartridges will never void the printer's warranty. It is strictly illegal for them to void your warranty for using these types of cartridges. This is as per MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT, United States Code Annotated Title 15 Commerce Trade Chapter 50, Consumer Product Warranties 15 Sections 2302.

Is it OK to use compatible toner cartridges?

Yes, compatible, replacement or remanufactured toner cartridges are designed to meet or exceed the OEM specifications. This means that you can get the same print quality and number of prints without paying as much compared to the original toner cartridges. Our compatible, replacement, or remanufactured toner cartridges are also covered with 1-year 100% satisfaction guarantee, and using these types of toner cartridges will not void your printer's warranty. Why is my toner cartridge not working?

First, make sure that you are using the right toner cartridge for your printer. To verify, you may check the printer's manual and check if you installed the right model number of toner on your printer. Next, remove the toner cartridge from the printer, then shake the toner cartridge 5 to 6 times. Make sure to cover the cartridge with plastic to avoid leaking. After this make sure that the toner is properly seated in its slot and make sure that it is secured in place.
