HP LaserJet Pro MFP 4112fdw Toner Cartridge FAQs
Do laser toners dry out?
Toner cartridges are powder-based and not liquid-based. This means that they do not dry out as the powder inside is already dry. But if a toner cartridge has not been used for a long time, there's a possibility that the toner powder is not evenly distributed inside. This can cause uneven prints and smudges. To resolve this issue, you may shake the toner cartridge sideways to distribute the toner powder evenly. For more information, click Troubleshooting Tips and you will be redirected to the right page.
How do you know if your toner cartridge is empty?
Most of the time, a message on your printer's control panel will appear letting you know that the toner cartridge is about to be empty or already empty. Another indication is when you are no longer getting a solid or good print quality, you will notice uneven or smears on the printout. When this happens, you may order your new toner cartridge at CompAndSave, our toner cartridges are designed to match the print quality and number of printouts of the original HP toner cartridges but at a very affordable price.
