How to Install Konica Minolta bizhub Pro C5500 Toner Cartridges

  1. Open the printer's toner access door.
  2. Unlock, then open the toner cartridge cover. Slight pull the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced, then twist to 'UP' position to release it.
  3. Carefully pull the toner cartridge out of the printer.
  4. Get your new CompAndSave Konica Minolta C5500 toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Gently shake the toner cartridge and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective cap, if there is, before installing it.
  5. Carefully align and insert the new toner cartridge. Make sure to align the two hollow parts of the toner to the 'UP' arrow position. Insert the cartridge all the way in until it is firmly seated in place.
  6. Close the toner cartridge cover and the toner access door.

Konica Minolta bizhub Pro C5500 Toner Cartridges FAQ's

Does toner last longer than ink?
In terms of longevity, toner cartridges are designed to last longer than regular ink. Since toners are designed for laser printers, they can produce more images and prints compared to inkjet types of printers. Usually, toner also has a longer shelf life than regular ink since they are powder based and do not dry out.
Do laser toners dry out?
Toner cartridges are powder-based and not liquid-based. This means that they do not dry out as the powder inside is already dry. But if a toner cartridge was not used for a long time, there's a possibility that the toner powder is not evenly distributed inside. This can cause uneven prints and smudges. To resolve this issue, you may shake the toner cartridge sideways to distribute the toner powder evenly. Does using compatible toner void warranty?
Using compatible, replacement, or remanufactured cartridges will never void the printer's warranty. It is strictly ILLEGAL for them to void your warranty for using these types of cartridges. This is as per MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT, United States Code Annotated Title 15 Commerce Trade Chapter 50, Consumer Product Warranties 15 Sections 2302.
