Kyocera TASKalfa 400ci Toner Replacement Guide
- Open the printer's front cover.
- Release the lock lever on the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced, then carefully pull it out of the printer.
- Get your new CompAndSave Kyocera 400ci toner cartridge. Open the cartridge over a sink or garbage can to avoid any messes in case of a powder leak, as sometimes, factories tend to overfill toner cartridges. Shake the toner cartridge five to six times and avoid touching the bottom part of the toner, then remove the covering tape that is usually bright in color as well as the plastic protective case, if there is, before installing it.
- Insert the new toner cartridge into its respective slot until it is firmly seated in place. Then turn the lock lever on the toner back to the lock position.
- Close the printer's front cover.

- Do laser toners dry out?
- Toner cartridges are powder-based and not liquid-based. This means that they do not dry out as the powder inside is already dry. But if a toner cartridge was not used for a long time, there's a possibility that the toner powder is not evenly distributed inside. This can cause uneven prints and smudges. To resolve this issue, you may shake the toner cartridge sideways to distribute the toner powder evenly.
