Compatible / Remanufactured Cartridge Knowledge Base
Do you guarantee your product?
We guarantee everything we sell 100%. We will gladly refund your money if you are unsatisfied in anyway for any reason. There is absolutely no risk to you.
Do you have cartridges for my printer?
We carry compatible cartridges for most popular brands of printers. If you don't see your printer listed, email us and we will let you know if we have it in stock. If your printer is a new model and we don't carry it yet, check back with us by e-mail or this web site as new compatibles are added on a regular basis.
How can you sell them so cheap?
Our cartridges come straight from the factory which means you will get the best price from us.
How easy is the compatible or remanufactured cartridge to install?
Each cartridge is installed the same way that you would install the original OEM cartridge. They are individually wrapped in foil or plastic bag and have the tab on top (which you remove when installing the cartridge - just like the original OEM cartridge.) We recommend that you use the head cleaning or nozzle cleaning utility that comes with your printer to clean the printer heads (you should do this EVERY time you replace any cartridge - OEM or Compatible). Go to Control Panel - Printers - Properties - Utility.
How long will they last on the shelf?
Our cartridges are fresh from the factory every month and have a tested shelf life of at least 20 months.
How much money will I save by buying a compatible or remanufactured cartridge?
Typically buying a compatible or remanufactured cartridge saves you about 50-75% over the cost of a new OEM cartridge. This usually amounts to $15-$30 every time you use our product. Check out the savings for your printer. Make sure to explore different quantities to find the price break that suites you best. Notice the unit costs decreasing on volume orders!
Is this cartridge name-brand or generic?
Our complete line of printing products includes both name-brand (OEM) and generic cartridges and toners.

OEM cartridges and toners come with the quality and reliability you have come to expect from the manufacturers of these products.

We only offer the highest quality generic brands of cartridges and toners, and guarantee that they perform with the same quality as the OEM's, while costing just a fraction of the price. If for any reason you are unhappy with any of the products you received, please contact our customer service center about a refund.
What does OEM stand for?
OEM is an abbreviation for 'Original Equipment Manufacturer.' When you see a product on our site that says OEM, that means that it is one of the "name-brand" cartridges from Canon, Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, etc.
What is a nozzle?
Nozzles, or "jets" are located on the printhead. There may be anywhere from 48 to 320 nozzles on any printhead, and each of them is smaller than human hair.

Each nozzle is connected electronically to a heater (resistor) that actually heats and cools the ink inside the cartridge. When the ink is head, a bubble is formed. When the heat is removed, the bubble bursts and sends dots of ink through the nozzles and onto the paper in the printer.

This happens very quickly, creating dots that form print characters on the page at a rate of up to 6,000 drops per second. That is why you should never touch the nozzle or print head assembly with your fingers.
What is a printhead?
The printhead is the most critical component of our printer - it is used to deliver the ink to the page that you are printing. Don't touch the printhead with your fingers.

Your printhead is a consumable that can wear out over time, much like the brakes on your car. It requires proper installation and ongoing maintenance to ensure the long life of service for your printer.

Most print quality problems are a direct result of improper care of the printhead. Proper installation, ongoing attention and maintenance are the keys to maximizing the life of a printhead.
What is a remanufactured cartridge?
Remanufactured cartridges have been recycled to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. They recycling process involves disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, reassembling and filling the product with ink.
What is a safety clip?
Some of our inkjet cartridges, particularly those for HP, Lexmark, are shipped in a protective plastic clip. This may cause the cartridge to appear like it won't fit inside the printer.

Please remove the shipping clip. After removing the clip, the cartridge will look exactly the same as your original cartridge.
What is compatible cartridge?
Compatible cartridges are non-OEM new cartridges - not recycled. Compatible cartridges are manufactured by a third party factory to the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) specifications. Each printer cartridge is carefully researched, manufactured and tested. New compatible cartridges are added on a regular basis.
What is the circuitry on the cartridge?
The circuitry that is seen on some cartridges (such as some HP or Lexmark Cartridges) is the ink delivery system or printhead. This mechanism is a system of nozzles that are used to push ink onto the paper.
What is this tape on my cartridge?
An adhesive tape can be found on some models of inkjets. It may be one of several different colors and is used to protect the print head during transportation.

Please remove the adhesive tape before installing the cartridge into your printer.

Also, please do not use any other type of tape to protect the print head of your cartridge when you remove it from the printer. Sticky tape will push the glue resin into the nozzles of the printhead, thereby clogging them.
Where can I find what cartridges to buy for my printer?
You can search for your ink by the type of printer you have.

Choose the brand of your printer, and then click on the model number of your printer.  You should see a list of compatible cartridges displayed on the screen.  Please call our toll-free at 877.465.6888 if you are still unable to find the right cartridges for your printer.
Why should I buy a compatible or remanufactured cartridge?
The main reason for using compatibles is to save money, lots of it!
Will I get the same quality printing with a compatible or remanufactured cartridge?
We guarantee you will get the same quality printing. Many of our best customers are graphic designers and photographers who demand the highest quality printing and the strictest color matching.  And our factory is ISO-9001 Certified.

ISO-9000 is a set of five universal standards for a Quality Assurance system that is accepted around the world. Currently 90 countries have adopted ISO-9000 as national standards. When you purchase a product or service from a company that is registered to the appropriate ISO-9000 standard you have important assurances that the quality of what you receive will be as you expect.

The most comprehensive of the standards is ISO-9001.  This means you can expect only the highest & most consistent Level of Quality!
Will using a compatible or remanufactured cartridge void my warranty?
Major printer manufacturers sell printers at or below cost. They make their profits from selling the cartridges. Formerly, once you bought your expensive new printer you had no choice but to buy one of their cartridges after yours ran dry. By using compatibles you are cutting into their primary source of profit. Because of this, they will threaten to void your warranty if you use compatible or remanufactured cartridges. They are simply trying to protect their own interests anyway they can. It is however strictly ILLEGAL for them to do so. They CANNOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY simply for using compatible cartridges. There is no reason that you should not use compatible or remanufactured cartridges. They work and will save your money.

We have sold many cartridges and never had an incident where a customer's warranty was "voided" from using our products.
